Vidde lamull yarn is spun in a unique blend of white lamull and gray fur wool. The yarn has a light melange and is dyed in 32 delicate colors in addition to natural white and natural gray. Width is loosely spun, but with good elasticity and stays nice in ready-knitted garments. Vidde and Varde can be knitted together and the colors complement each other beautifully. The yarn is used in many recipes in the books Wilderness Sweaters by Linka Neumann.

In the color series of Vidde lamull yarn, we have only used GOTS-approved dye. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) requires that dyes are biodegradable and non-toxic. The finished product may not contain allergens or residues of hazardous chemicals. GOTS-approved dye is permitted in organic production of yarn and textiles.

100 g = approx. 200 m. Nm 4/2, 2-thread, 100% Norwegian wool.
Delivered in hesper of 100 g (2 x 50 g).Knitting tension: 18 sts x 24 rounds = 10 x 10 cm on needle size 4.5 - 5 mm.

We recommend hand washing the garments with mild wool soap followed by spinning in a washing machine before the garments are laid flat for drying.

Forgarn is a semi-finished yarn where the wool is carded and divided into threads, but it has not yet been spun. This Forgarn is wound up with 2 parallel strands, and it is knitted from both strands together.
Unspun yarn lacks the strength of finished spun yarn, making it 'see-through' and airy.
It is still great to knit with, and as soon as the yarn is knitted, it gains strength.
You can knit the Forgarn as it is, or with an extra strand of 1-ply/lace fingering or kidsilk for extra strength.
Forgarn can also be used for hand spinning, preferably as a base together with other fibers such as dog hair, rabbit hair or the like. Forgarn is delivered in wheels of approx. 180 - 220 g.

Length/weight: about 190 m per 100g

Gauge:

Needle 4: approx. 18 sts = 10 cm
Needle 5: approx. 16 sts = 10 cm
Needle 6: approx. 14 sts = 10 cm

Tips when knitting with Forgarn:
Forgarn is light and airy, but can also break easily, so you have to be careful when knitting. Fortunately, it is worth the effort: this special yarn makes for soft, warm, light and beautiful garments.∙ Forgarn consists of two parallel strands: it is preferably knitted with both strands together.
∙ Carefully remove a meter or two of yarn from the wheel before you start knitting, and make sure you keep doing this while knitting. If you continue to knit without pulling out, the yarn gains resistance and tears.
∙ The yarn will probably tear a few times, but then you can gently felt them back together by moistening two fingers and rubbing the threads together.
∙ If desired, you can use an extra thread for more strength: for example, a 1-ply from Ullcentrum or a strand of kidsilk. Of course, this wil create a thicker knit, so adjust your needle size and knitting tension accordingly.

As with all yarns, Forgarn also allows you to achieve different knitting tensions depending on which knitting needles you choose. The knitting tension determines whether the knitting will be sturdy and durable or looser and airier. Remember that knitting tension is different for each person, and you should knit a swatch to find out your desired knitting tension.
All knitting patterns in Troll, Blåne, Luna, Vidde and Varde are excellent to knit with Forgarn.

Alba is a Gots-certified cotton from the Danish BC Garn, with many beautifully coordinated colors. The organically grown cotton is produced with fair wages for the farmers, without harmful or toxic substances. The processing also minimizes the impact on the environment.

The cotton is not mercerized, making it as natural as possible. This gives the colors a subtle and understated sheen. BC Alba is also perfectly suited for knitting baby clothes! As organic cotton, it's a true baby yarn. Since not only the raw material but also the dyes used are free of animal products, it's a completely vegan yarn. Please note that the knitting may become slightly distorted when knitting in stockinette stitch. It's better to use a textured pattern with BC Alba yarn. The cotton used is grown in Turkey without the use of fertilizers or pesticides and is harvested by hand.

With wool roving, all wool fibers are carded in the same direction, so they form a thick roving together, hence the name.
Roving is particularly suitable for wet felting, where you alternately place strands of wool horizontally and vertically on top of each other. With cold and hot water, soap and by rubbing/friction, these wool fibers felt.

Our natural/undyed roving comes from northern Germany and is also suitable for doll making.

Our coloured roving is mulesing free merino wool from South America, carded in the Czech Republic, and with 21 microns it's very soft and pleasant to felt with (with children).

Woolfleece or carded wool batts consists of criss-crossed wool fibers. These are carded into "mats" or a carded fleece. Because these fibres are usually a bit shorter than roving and are all mixed together, woolfleece is particularly suitable for dry felting/needle felting.

Our carded fleece is undyed, and available in the different natural shades that are characteristic of different sheepbreeds found in Europe. Because of the soft and natural colors, this fleecel is particularly suitable for felting for example (birthday) crowns, seasonal table figures and animals.
For larger or 3D projects such as animal needle felting, we recommend using white woolroving as a base, and using the fleece wool in natural tones as a top layer. We have put together handy packages of 25 grams, which is a nice amount for most projects.
Our fleece wool comes from animals from Europe. Washed, processed and carded in Germany.

N.b. some fleeces are better suited for spinning than other: in general, fleece wool is not so suitable for the novice spinner, but an advanced spinner can work with it.
For suitable wool to spin with, we would like to refer you to our colleagues at Schaapjeswol.
Wet felting can be done with fleece wool, but roving works faster and more pleasantly.

Here you can order a gift coupon.

After placing your order, you will receive the gift coupon in your email within one day, and mostly sooner than that. The code which is printed on the coupon can be applied exactly once.

The coupon can be used for purchases in the webshop but also in the store in Driebergen. In the webshop, the code can be submitted at "discount code" on the payments page.

The gift coupon remains valid within one year from the date it was purchased and it can't be returned, swapped, or traded for cash money.

Below you'll find a sample of a gift coupon (amount is not specified, code is invalid).
