Garter stitch cardigan with wide edges and a belt at the waist.

This cardigan is worked back and forth in garter stitch from the top down. Along the front edges and neckline, stitches are picked up to work a wide ribbed band in double knitting. Decreases are made along the sleeves so that they gradually taper. Finally, a narrow belt is worked in double-knit rib and attached to the cardigan at the waist.

Minimalisme No 5 is knitted in Sol lambswool yarn together with Silk Mohair.

Your bust circumference: 80 (90) 100 (110) 120 (130) 140 (150) cm.
The circumference of the cardigan: 110 (120) 130 (140) 150 (160) 170 (180) cm.
Full length, measured from the shoulder edge and down: 54 (56) 58 (60) 62 (64) 66 (68) cm.
Positive ease: This cardigan has a positive ease at approximately 30 cm, depending on your bust circumference. When deciding which size to knit, choose the one which corresponds to your own actual bust circumference.

Yarn: The cardigan is knitted with 2 threads.
– 1st thread: Sol lambswool, in colour 451 heathered medium brown, Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk (290 m per 100 g).
– 2nd thread: Silk Mohair (appr. 212 m per 25g).
Amount: The following yarn amount is used for each of the 2 threads.
– 1st thread: 450 (500) 550 (600) 650 (700) 750 (800) g.
– 2nd thread: 175 (175) 200 (225) 225 (250) 250 (275) g.

Yarn alternative: Tinde pelsullgarn (100g = 260m) as an alternative for Sol.
