Course -cutting your knits- by Anke Grevers
In four Saturday mornings you will knit your own needle case for storing your (circulair) knitting needles.
Topics:
- Reading an English knitting pattern
- Fair isle knitting
- Colourwork
- Knitting in the Round
- Steeking
Do you always see those beautiful circular knitted scarves or cardigans but don't dare to cut into your knitting? In this workshop we will take you through setting a steek!
The pattern is by Marie Wallin. This British designer gets her inspiration from the nature of England.
We will knit with the Spindrift from Jamieson's of Shetland from the Trollenwolstore.
Fabric is needed for the inside of the needle case. This is available in the store (the original Jamieson's or Shetland Tweed) or you bring a suitable piece of fabric yourself.
For this course some experience with circular knitting is preferable.
