felt needles
Different felt needles:
- thick: suitable for felting larger surfaces/ the basic shape/ coarse wool.
- medium: felting the basic and the finer parts, and general applications to the basic shape.
- fine: finishing and needle felting details ans smaller parts.
Tips for using:
Insert the needle straight into the wool, and also take it out at a right angle.
Work calmly and with care.
Use the right needle for your project.
Wear suitable protection for your fingers. (for example, a leather finger glove or the specially available needle felt protection from Clover)
Use a felting cushion (a sustainable solution: jute bag filled with rice)
It is always useful to have some spare needles on hand.
For a nice finish, you can steam iron your propject briefly, after which the needle holes are less visible. Felting needles have barbs, are razor-sharp and break easily if used incorrectly.
