Overview

Jul No 11 is a simple stockinette stitch sweater for kids, decorated with embroidered Christmas motifs. The pattern includes a choice of Christmas trees, bows or hearts, which are embroidered onto the sweater afterwards using charts.
The sweater is knitted from the bottom up in stockinette stitch – in the round when knitting the body and sleeves, and back and forth when shaping the front and back of the yoke. All edges are knitted in ribbing. Finally, hearts, bows or Christmas trees are embroidered evenly across the sweater.

Size Guide
Size: 1/2 (1-2) 3-4 (5-6) 7-8 (9-10) 11-12 (13-14) years.
The circumference of the sweater: 55 (60) 65 (70) 75 (80) 85 (90) cm.
Full length, from shoulder edge to bottom edge: 31 (34) 37 (40) 43 (46) 49 (52) cm.
Positive ease: This sweater has a positive ease at approximately 10-15 cm, depending on the chest circumference of the child. When choosing size, select the one that best corresponds to the measured chest circumference.
Yarn usage
NOTE: At Trollenwol, for the below mentioned Mohair you can order "Silky Kid Mohair" or "Mohair by Canard" in our store.
You can knit the sweater in single stand Sol.
Yarn: The sweater is knitted with single strand
– Sweater: Sol lamullgarn, 419 burgundy or 461 camel, Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk (290 m pr 100 g).
– Embroidery: Vilje, 449 heathered light beige or 406 red, Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk (375 m pr 100 g).
Amount:
– Sweater: 150 (150) 200 (200) 250 (250) 300 (300) g.
– Hearts: 50 g
– Bows: 50 g
You can also embroider using Sol or leftover yarn. We have chosen Vilje for the embroidery to avoid making it too thick.
Yarn alternative: Tinde pelsullgarn (100g = 260 m) as an alternative for Sol.
You can also knit the sweater in Vilje held together with Silk Mohair.
Yarn: The sweater is knitted with two strands held together:
– 1st thread: Vilje, 449 heathered light beige, Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk (375 m per 100 g).
– 2n thread: Silk mohair, (212 m pr 25 g).
Amount: The following yarn quantities are used for knitting the sweater:
– 1st thread: 100 (100) 150 (150) 200 (200) 250 (250) g
– 2nd thread: 50 (50) 75 (75) 100 (100) 125 (125) g.
– Embroidery: 50 g Vilje, 456 dusty olive green, and 50 g Vilje, 440 ochre brown.
You can also embroider using Sol or leftover yarn. We have chosen Vilje for the embroidery to avoid making it too thick.
